This is Nina again popping in to say hello! Life has been fun and fabulously crazy in a good way... and I am looking forward to a great weekend! I'm excitedly packing my bags to spend the next few sweet days in Las Vegas with a great group of people.

Moonrise Kingdom

We discovered a new little movie this weekend. A trailer, actually. Co-written by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola (Sophia's brother), Moonrise Kingdom is about two young New Englanders who fall in love.

But what really is so very, very exciting is how stunningly beautiful this film is. Stylistically, colorfully and with a true sense of branding and seamless-ness to the concept. It has our hearts and minds skipping with fantastic inspiration.

And... oh how we can't wait to watch all this lovely wrapped up in lounge pants and a pretty little robe.

Getting Beautiful

THE PRETTY STEPS:

1. On clean, moisturized skin, apply a dime-sized amount of fluid foundation. Beginning in the center of the face, spread downward and apply more when more coverage is needed. *Try ByTerry Sheer Expert.

2. Buff a sheer, translucent powder over foundation to make your makeup last for hours. *Koh Gen Do Natural Lighting Powder imparts a glow that’s as perfectly pretty in real life as it is flawless on camera.

3. Sweep a soft veil of highlighting shadow across the lid, then follow with 2-3 coats of glossy black mascara – bigger lashes are always better! * A beautiful shade for all skin tones, Cle De Peau Satin Eye Color in 101 subtly brightens the eyes with a sheer texture. * For attention-grabbing lashes, try a lush mascara that won’t break the bank – L’Oreal Voluminous is a drugstore cult favorite.

4. For a classic red pout, careful application is required. After applying lip balm to hydrate, line and fill in lips with a rich red lipliner. Our model is wearing Russian Red by NARS. *Forget feathering, Natura Bisse Lip Recovery Balm moisturizes chapped lips and helps keep color in place.

5. In the center of the lip, apply shimmering gloss for extra sparkle. We love the model’s color – Chantecaille Brilliant Gloss in Glee.

6. Balance the face with complimentary rosy-red blush applied along the cheekbones. Blend well. *Best bet – NARS Blush in Amour. PRO TIP: Dust translucent powder over cheeks for a rosy glow that appears to come from within!

Hi beauties! It's Nina!

What kind of leap did you take for 2012? We have been so very lucky to be granted with an extra day this year!

I was thankful that I got to spend mine with my mother and some very beautiful people at the Utterly Engaged Leap Year 2012 Party! It was a really enjoyable evening spending time with all the lovely ladies and friends of this Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie brand. Although, I must admit I did keep finding myself sneaking back to the dessert table. My mother, who was my date to the event, also had the same "problem."
